How long do I need to leave pizza dough to rest?Updated a year ago
This is our most frequently asked question and is the one which we can only give the vaguest of answers.
The reason; Temperature.
We don't know the current temperature outside, nor the temperature where you've got your dough balls resting.
There can be a bit of trial and error in getting this right, but eventually you will.
As a rule of thumb, in the summer allow 4 - 5 hours for the dough balls to be ready. In the winter extend this by a couple of hours.
We have some other articles and videos with hacks on how to speed the process up without ruining the dough, so have a check on those.
