Why is my dough tearing when I stretch it?Updated a year ago


There could be a few reasons why your dough is tearing when you stretch it:

  • Overworking the dough - you don't need to knead our dough balls. The only ones you need to knead are if you have created dough balls using out baking kits.
  • You've added too much flour to the dough ball when pressing out and preparing it.
  • The temperature of the dough is too cold meaning the gluten strands are not as flexible.  Allowing it to warm up before stretching will help.
