Why is my pizza dough sticking to the pizza peel?Updated a year ago
Use our Pizza Peel Dust which acts like a teflon layer for your pizza peel allowing your base to move around. Sprinkle some on your peel before you transfer the base onto the peel. When the base is on the peel, give it a few gentle shuffles to ensure it's not sticking and is moving around. It is now ready to launch into your oven.
Tips to help you:
- Make sure your peel is dry and free of any residue.
- Keep your toppings light if you're new to this. Lots of toppings, especially wet toppings, can seep through the base and cause it to stick.
- Be swift when applying your toppings. Don't let the pizza sit too long on the paddle or work surface as it can tend to stick.
